Abstract:
To provide box packing assistance means with which it is possible to efficiently arrange objects of various shapes and sizes in an open space such as a box.SOLUTION: Provided is a box packing assistance device including: an image acquisition unit for acquiring a target object image that indicates a target object to be boxed and a box image that indicates a box; an object analysis unit for analyzing the target object image, extracting the contour shape of the target object, and generating a contour shape image that indicates the contour shape of the target object; a box analysis unit for analyzing the box image, discriminating an occupied region of the box that is occupied by other objects and a non-occupied region where an object can be arranged, and generating an arrangement state image that indicates the occupied region and non-occupied region of the box; and an arrangement configuration determination unit for determining, on the basis of the contour shape image and the arrangement state image, an arrangement configuration that indicates the position and angle recommended for arrangement of the target object in the non-occupied region of the box, and outputting arrangement configuration information that indicates the arrangement configuration.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
