To discharge quantitatively powdery and granular materials by only tilting a box, by designing the box-shaped container so that the powdery and granular material drop into a measuring chamber from the intake opening of the material and the chamber is charged, when the box is placed in the normal position and the powdery and granular material in the measuring chamber is discharged from the discharge opening through the discharge passage, when the box is tilted so as to turn down the discharge passage side.
A discharge passage (a) is formed of the front face wall 1, the side wall 9, the upper vertical plate 2, and the side face wall 6. In this case, the total length of the discharge passage (a) is made shorter than the total height of the box-shaped container and the passage is installed at the upper part of the container. A measuring chamber (b) is formed of the front face wall 1, the side wall 10, the lower vertical plate 11, and the bottom face wall 12. At the same time, an intake opening (c) for the powdery and granular material to charge the material from the container to the measuring chamber (b), is formed between the upper vertical plate 2 and the lower vertical plate 11 and between the side walls 9, 10. The lower part of the discharge passage (a) is opened and an outflow opening (d) is formed to transfer the material from the measuring chamber to the discharge passage. A discharge opening (e) corresponding to the section of the discharge passage (a) is provided at the upper face wall 3.
