Abstract:
To provide a box-shaped floating body capable of suppressing oscillation caused by waves to stably float when staying on a water surface and smoothly moving when moving on the water surface.SOLUTION: A non-self-navigation type box-shaped floating body 10 comprises: a floating body 12; and oscillation reduction means 14 provided on the lateral side of the floating body 12 to reduce oscillation caused by waves. The oscillation reduction means 14 is provided with an oscillation suppression plate 16 erected with an opening 22 in an upper part, and lifting means 18 for lifting the oscillation suppression plate 16. When staying on a water surface, the oscillation suppression plate 16 holds a state where it is lowered until the opening 22 in the upper part is positioned in water. When moving on the water surface, the oscillation suppression plate 16 holds a state where it is raised above a bottom of the floating body 12.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
