To provide a box type vacuum dryer that can restrain impurities, etc. from remaining after cleaning and can reduce time required for cleaning.

A box type vacuum dryer comprises: a sealed container 20 including an opening; a door 30 for opening/closing the opening of the sealed container; a pump (not shown) for exhausting an atmosphere in the sealed container 20; a plurality of shelves 40 in each of which a heat transfer medium for heating is circulated; brackets 50 for attaching the shelves 40 to a side wall on the back side of the sealed container 20; pipes (60 and 61) for supplying/discharging the heat transfer medium for heating to/from the shelves 40 via the brackets 50; and seal members for sealing gaps between the brackets 50 and the side wall on the back side of the sealed container 20. The brackets 50 are in contact with the whole circumferences of outer surfaces of the shelves 40.
