PURPOSE: To miniaturize a refrigerating/warming box and reduce heat loss by setting a heat-insulating wall for constituting the inside of the box to a vacuum heat-insulating container, providing an opening and a hole part in the container, providing a Peltier element where a heat-absorbing plate and a cooling plate are mounted to the hole part on both surfaces, and providing the element at the cold region side from the end face of the hole part.
CONSTITUTION: When considering use as a refrigerator and a DC voltage is applied to a Peltier element 17, the element 17 absorbs heat from the side of a heat absorption plate 5 and emits heat toward the side of a cooling plate 18 since the element 17 has been set so that it absorbs heat from the side of the heat absorption plate 5 in advance and thermally emits it toward the side of the cooling plate 18. In this case, the element 17 is located at the side of a refrigerating/warming region 4 from an end face 22, and heat loss from the heat absorption plate 5 becomes small due to vacuum effect. By changing the direction of current, the directions of the absorption and emission of heat change in the element 17. At this time, since an electric fan 20 has been wired so that it simultaneously operates, it responds simultaneously with the element 17 and cools the cooling fin 19, thus cooling heat in the region 4 by a cooling wind using a fan 20 via the cooling plate 18 and a fin 19 as shown by a dotted line.
