Title:
BPSK MODULATOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3725307
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a BPSK(binary phase shift keying) modulator with a simple structure by which the fluctuation of an output level at the time of changing-over the phase of output wave by 180° is eliminated.
SOLUTION: The transmission and the reflection of electric wave which is made incident on a mount 10 are changed-over by a baseband signal which is impressed on the semi-conductor element of the mount 10 from a baseband signal input terminal 11. At the time of transmission, electric wave reaches an output line 6 with a directional coupler. At the time of reflection, it is transmitted in a by-pass line by a circulator so as to reach the output line 6. Phase difference adjusting lines 13 and 13' are set so as to permit difference between the route of electric wave which is previously transmitted through the mount 10 so as to reach an output end 17 and the route of electric wave which is reflected by the mount 10 so as to reach the output end 17 through the by-pass line by the circulator to be the odd-number times of semi-wavelength. Therefore, the phase of output wave is changed-over by 180° by the baseband signal which is impressed on the semi-conductor element which is loaded on the mount 10 and BPSK modulation is executed.
