To provide a brace connection fitting for a steel frame formed of steel columns and steel beams, which is available for the case where the steel beam is not directly connected to the steel column, dispenses with welding at a beam-column connection portion when a brace is connected to a connection fitting for connecting an end of the brace to the connection portion, and can erect the frame only by arranging the single connection fitting at an end of the steel beam, and to provide a brace connection structure using the brace connection fitting.
The connection fitting 1 for connecting the end of the brace 6 erected in the steel frame consisting of the steel columns 5 and the steel beams 7, to the beam-column connection portion, is formed of: a flange plate 2 which is bolted to and superposed on a flange 51 of the steel column 5; and a web plate 3 which has the end of the brace 6 bolted thereto and superposed thereon, and is opposed to an end face of the steel beam 7. Herein both the flange plate 2 and the web plate 3 have respectively sufficient lengths for bolting of an end of the steel beam 7 and the end of the brace 6 thereto.
