Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brace for steel and other structures, mitigating an effect of compressive force exerted on the brace at a time of earthquake, being designed readily and offering high economic efficiency.SOLUTION: An edge side of a brace body 1 and one fastening metal fitting 2 are connected by a brace connecting pin 6, and a cut groove 22 on a bent part 21 side of the one fastening metal fitting 2 is inserted to an upper gusset plate 5a and connected with a plate connecting pin 7, thus placing a weak axial surface 10a of the brace body 1 orthogonally to a rectangular frame surface 4. The other edge side of the brace body 1 is connected to one clamping member 34 of another fastening metal fitting 3 with a brace connecting pin 6, the fastening metal fitting on the other side having a tension adjustment member 30 at a center. Furthermore, another clamping member 35 located on the opposite side is connected to a lower gusset plate 5b with the plate connecting pin 7.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
