PURPOSE: To make a bracket cap for dental reform safe, and also, to prevent a wire from being detached by providing an engaging element to be engaged to a bracket and a notch part for allowing the wire to pass through.
CONSTITUTION: A side face of a cap 6 becomes a notch part 8 for allowing a wire to pass through. A base 1 of a bracket 2 is fixed to the surface of a man's tooth with an adhesive agent, etc., and subsequently, a wire 9 is held in a groove part 3 and bound tightly in common with a bracket of an adjacent tooth, and thereafter, engaging projections 7, 7 of the cap 6 are inserted into recessed parts 5, 5 provided on the bracket 2 from a position stepping over the wire 9, and engaged thereto. As a result, in a position in which the cap 6 covers the bracket 2, stoppers 10, 10... work and it is obstructed that the cap slides further. Also, due to a structure of the projections 7, 7 being engaging elements, the cap cannot move in the direction vertical to the groove part either, therefore, the cap 6 covers the surface of the bracket 2 and is held.
