To improve a bracket assembly, and a method for attaching the bracket assembly, in particular, mounting a bracket unit to a vehicle component.SOLUTION: An attachment portion (10) for attaching a bracket unit (1) is provided on an attachment zone of a bracket unit 1 made of fiber binding material, the attachment portion presets the position of a through-opening part (103) to be formed thereafter by incorporating an attachment member (2) along an assembly direction (R), constitutes at least one support member (100) extended along an attachment direction (R) and, when an attachment portion (21) of the attachment member (2) exactly penetrates material of the bracket unit (1) and is extended, a head portion (20) of the attachment member (2) is at least tightly adhered in a frictional joining manner thereto.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
