PURPOSE: To provide a braid free from twist of yarns constituting the braid in a braided state and suitable especially for a core material of an industrial belt, the industrial belt capable of running without deviation or uneven abrasion and excellent in running stability and the braid-producing machine for production thereof.

CONSTITUTION: This braid 1 is composed of even-numbered (four in this example) yarns 2 to 5 and each of the yarns 2 to 5 is composed of many bundled non-twisted monofilaments. This braid 1 is produced by crossing a pair of yarns 2 and 4 facing to each other in the mutually opposing direction, subsequently crossing another pair of yarns 3 and 5 at the cross-part of the yarns 2 and 4 in a close-contact state in the mutually opposing direction and alternately repeating these operations.
