To adjust a brake putting attention to brake drop sound while conventionally attention has been put to braking force mainly in adjusting spring force or brake shoes to achieve desired braking force.
This method includes a step of differentiating a current of a brake coil 10 after a brake dropping command, a step of detecting a current value when a current differentiated value becomes zero as a brake drop current, a step of detecting time from the brake dropping command till time when the current differentiated value becomes zero as a brake drop time, and a step of adjusting the brake based on the brake drop current and the brake drop time. Brake drop action can be adjusted as desired, and brake drop sound can be adjusted. The brake drop current and the brake drop time can be stably measured.
