Abstract:
To provide a brake band with a coefficient of friction stable from the beginning of use.
In the drawing, a numeral 10 is a brake band, a numeral 1 is a drum, a numeral 2 is a friction material, a numeral 3 is a strap, a numeral 4 is a bracket and a numeral 5 is a hydraulic system. A wet friction material consists of a fiber component, filler agent, friction adjusting agent and a thermo- setting resin. A flat smooth heat plate or heat drum of 350 to 550°C temperature is pressed by applying a pressure for 1 to 5 seconds to a surface of this friction material before or after it is secured to the strap, flat smoothing surface treatment is applied without deteriorating the thermo-setting resin.
