To provide a technology avoiding the leakage of pressure when an inexpensive pressure holding valve is used in an electronic control brake system.
In the brake control device, a differential controlling means 102 controls a motor 36a of a pump to make the pressure of an accumulator be in a set pressure range decided by an upper limit value and a lower limit value. A state obtaining means 100 obtains a status value of the pressure holding valve from a voltmeter 81 and a thermometer 91. When the pressure holding valve is in a predetermined state, a pump actuating condition setting means 104 sets the upper limit value of the set pressure range of the accumulator so as not to exceed a holding possible pressure value in the state of the pressure holding valve.
