Abstract:
To provide a brake control device that sufficiently ensures a braking force on the occurrence of abnormal conditions.
The brake control device generates the braking force in conjunction with a hydraulic brake force and a regenerative braking force. The brake control device includes: a control unit which calculates a required value of the regenerative braking force generated subsidiarily on the occurrence of abnormal conditions; and a plurality of sensors each of which outputs, to the control unit, a detected value fluctuating synchronously with a braking operation by a driver. The control unit selects any one of the plurality of sensors and calculates the required value based on the detected value by the selected sensor.
