Title:
BRAKE DEVICE FOR ELEVATOR DRIVEN BY LINEAR MOTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3148436
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a brake device for elevator in linear motor drive system, which is with less shocks at emergency application of brakes, ensures safety, and can be constructed small and at a low cost.
CONSTITUTION: An elevator element 4 to rise and fall in a pit and brake devices 40A, 40B. 41A, 41B generating braking force while pinching fixing members 8A, 8B installed in the pit as arranged in the element 4 running direction are installed in a plurality of units in the symmetrical positions to the left and right about the elevator element 4 in mating with the fixing members 8A, 8B or in the symmetrical positions up and down on one side of the elevator element 4. Some of these brake devices in symmetrical positions are put under the braking state selectively in conformity to the output signal from an emergency stop command circuit, output signal from a running direction sensing circuit, and output signal from an intra-car load judging circuit, while all brake devices are put under braking state after stopping.
