To provide a brake device health determination device and a brake device health determination method capable of reducing inspection time and effort by more accurately determining the health of brake pressure.SOLUTION: A brake device health determination device for determining the health of air brake pressure of a train includes a reference value calculation part for calculating an air brake pressure reference value of a train by using information of an operation command of the train, an occupancy rate of the train and information of regenerative brake force, and calculating a determination propriety signal showing whether to execute the health determination of the air brake pressure of the train, and a health determination part for executing the health determination of the air brake pressure of the train in accordance with contents of the determination propriety signal, and performing the determination by comparing the air brake pressure reference value with the measured air brake pressure of the train.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
