PURPOSE: To assuredly brake the shutter blind in a simple constitution by applying the braking force with a centrifugal governor.
CONSTITUTION: When locking due to lever 12 is released by shutter release, the first blind which has been charged travels to rotate the first blind master toothed wheel 16, and at the finish period of its rotating period,the pin 16a of the toothed wheel 16 swings brake lever 33. Consequently, the pinion 35 having a small number of gears is rotated at high speed via sector gear 33a disposed on the lever 33. Slider 36 which forms governor is depressed by the centrifugal force with the above rotation to broke drum 34, hence the braking force is applied to the lever 33 via pinion 35 and gear 33a so as to brake the first blind. The second blind is similarly braked. The focal plane shutter can be precisely braked by this simple constitution wherein it is not changed by temperature, humidity, and aging, etc
