Abstract:
To reduce a size and a weight of a brake device for a vehicle.SOLUTION: A brake device 1 for a vehicle includes a disc rotor 3, brake pads 5, 7 opposed to the disc rotor 3, a caliper body 9 having a cylinder portion 31, and a piston portion 11 reciprocatably disposed in the caliper body 9, and is constituted to press the brake pads 5, 7 against the disc rotor 3 on the basis of a reciprocating motion of the piston portion 11. The piston portion 11 has a piston main body 41 disposed on the cylinder portion 31, and a resin or rubber bellows 43 housed in the cylinder portion 31 in a state of being connected to an end face 45 side at an axial one side of the piston main body 41. The bellows 43 is constituted to be expanded and contracted in an axial direction of the cylinder portion 31 so that the piston main body 41 is displaced with respect to the brake pads 5 by the expansion/contraction of the bellows 43.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
