Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To add a parking brake function to a liquid pressure control unit.SOLUTION: A liquid pressure control unit includes: a liquid passage for connecting a master cylinder and a wheel cylinder; a pump in which a suction side is connected to the master cylinder and the discharge side is connected to the wheel cylinder; a normally-closed type gate-in valve between the master cylinder and a pump suction port; and a normally-open type gate-out valve 34 between a pump discharge port and the master cylinder. The gate-out valve 34 includes a latch mechanism comprising an engaging element 52 for mechanically holding a spool 44 by stroking the spool 44 to a predetermined latch position by a solenoid 46. Thereby, the gate-out valve 34 is held at a closed position without electric conduction, and retention of a wheel cylinder pressure becomes possible. Latch release is performed by allowing a pump discharge pressure to act via the liquid passage 56.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
