Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress brake squeaks and groaning sounds effectively.
SOLUTION: This brake disc rotor is provided with a plurality of fins 3A and 3B arranged approx. in the radial direction of a rotor between opposing slide plates 1 and 2 and ventilation holes 4 with inner and outer ends in the rotor radial direction opened between the two slide plates 1 and 2 and between adjoining fins 3A and 3B. The fins 3A, 3B are grouped in sets S each including two long fin 3A, two short fin 3B, disposed alternately with long fin 3A and short fin 3B, with one of the long fins 3A furnished at the periphery with an expansion part 5 expanded in the width direction. The sets S are arranged periodically in the rotor circumferential direction, and the total number of fins is set to 4×2n, where (n) represents the order of the diameteric nodal mode.
