Title:
BRAKE FIXATION FAILURE DETECTION DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2013148184
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To detect fixation of a brake caliper.

A vehicle includes a brake device including a brake caliper for pressing a sliding member on a frictional sliding surface of a disk rotor rotating along with wheels. A fixation determination part 102 totals detection values of a steering torque sensor 16 and an assist torque sensor 46 and calculates actual steering torque generated in a steering shaft. The fixation determination part 102 determines the fixation failure of the brake caliper when the actual steering torque is 0 or larger, or is larger than a predetermined value when the vehicle travels straight ahead. The fixation determination part 102 determines the fixation failure of the brake caliper when the actual steering torque is larger than a steering torque reference value which is predetermined according to a vehicle behavior state when the vehicle is turning.
