Abstract:

To provide a mechanism which can adjust a brake force suited for a parking brake and a service brake.

This brake force adjusting mechanism 14 comprises a first link mechanism 18 connected to a brake pad 16a which generates brake force by a friction force between a rotating member and itself by being energized to the rotating member, and a second link mechanism 20 connected to the first link mechanism 18. The first link mechanism 18 and the second link mechanism 20 are constituted so that the brake pad 16a is moved toward the rotating member when an angle formed of the first link mechanism and the second link mechanism is changed, and the first link mechanism 18 has an adjusting mechanism 22 which can adjust a distance between a linking point C1 with the second link mechanism 20 and a connecting part C2 with the brake pad 16a.
