Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a brake to operate in two positions of a bar end and a handle bar so as to obtain powerful brake force.
SOLUTION: A bar end 10 for a bicycle, provided in a separate unit from a handle bar 11 in both ends thereof in the bicycle, is a member extended in a forward direction orthogonal to the handle bar 11. The bar end 10 has an end main unit 25 and a brake lever 26. The end main unit 25 is mounted in a tip end of the handle bar 11. The brake lever 26 is provided with a bracket 30 and a lever member 31. The bracket 30, having a lever shaft 32, is integrally formed in a tip end part of the end main unit 25. The lever member 31, having a first operating part 37 arranged along the end main unit 25 and a second operating part 38 arranged in a direction crossing with the first operating part 37, is mounted capable of swiveling in the bracket 30 through the lever shaft 32.
