Title:
BRAKE LINING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6095226
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent a brake from screeching, by laying a lining piece in the toe part of a trailing lining, which lining piece has a friction coefficient or hardness smaller or higher than that of the other part of the lining. CONSTITUTION:In the toe part T of a lining 17 on a trailing shoe 14 of a drum type brake, a lining piece l2 having a friction coefficient or hardness smaller or lower than that of a lining piece l1 in the other part 17a is laid. Accordingly, no strong striking is brought about in the lining piece l2 in the toe part of the lining 17 on the trailing shoe 14 even after the brake is exerted to the axle for a long time, and therefore the brake does not screech. Further, the hardness of the lining is low so that no strong striking is brought about.
