PURPOSE: To match a standard pressure with the meximum brake pressure by detecting/presuming a brake force generating substantially and setting the standard pressure in response to this brake force and then cope with the situation easily, even in the case of the generation of the liquid pressure difference between right/left wheels in an anti-skid control.
CONSTITUTION: A brake liquid pressure controller 4 can detect the running status of vehicles 1 by a running status detection means 5. Based on the detected running status, right/left brake liquid pressure on the front/rear wheels is controlled independently by a brake liquid pressure control means 6 so as to generate a pressure difference in relation to the set standard pressure. Further, substantially generating break pressure is detected/presumed by a brake pressure detection/presumption means 8. The standard pressure is set by a standard pressure set means 7 in response to the detected/presumed brake pressure. Thereby, the standard pressure applied to the control of a brake liquid pressure is matched with the maximum brake force and than this device can be coped with this situation easily, even in the case of the generation of the liquid pressure difference between right/left wheels in an anti-skid control.
