Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a bracket of a brake operating device for a bicycle excellent in strength, durability and safety and favourable in outer appearance.
CONSTITUTION: A bracket 21 is roughly rectangular parallelopiped, two faces of a face to install on a handle bar 22 and a face to insert a lever 26 into it are made opening surfaces directly connected to the inside of the bracket 21, a connecting metal fitting 29 and a part of the lever 26 are stored in the inside, and a groove 21c wide enough for an inner wire 28 to pass to the face to insert the lever 26 from a hole 21a for engagement to fit a receiver metal fitting 33 of an outer wire 32 is provided. Consequently, it is possible to easily fit the inner wire 28 in the bracket 21 notwithstanding that the bracket forms a blocked space, it is hard to deform against external force even at the time of overturning, and parts inside of the bracket 21 are never damaged.
