Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent the generation of the brake noise when the temperature rises or is dropped.
CONSTITUTION: A back plate 34 of a brake pad 32 is formed of the shape memory alloy. Thus, the back plate 34 becomes projected to a disc rotor in the higher temperature range not only in the temperature rise process but also in the temperature drop process. A friction member 36 is also projected, and only the center part is brought into press-contact with a disc rotor. As a result, the generation of the brake noise can be prevented.
