The brake pad manufacturing device 1 comprises a first chamfering means 5A to be slid along a predetermined reference direction obliquely crossing a plane extending from a friction face 31 for chamfering a first face 25A at the edge of the friction face 31, a second chamfering means 5B to be slid along the predetermined reference direction for chamfering a second face 25B at the edge of the friction face 31, and a position control means 4 for controlling relative position relationships between the brake pad 2 and each of the first chamfering means 25A and the second chamfering means 25B so that the first chamfering means 25A and the second chamfering means 25B are slid relative to the brake pad 2 along the predetermined reference direction.
