Abstract:
To provide a brake pad which can easily know an abrasion limit of frictional material.
A brake pad 10 in which a frictional material 14 is attached to a back plate 12, wherein: the abrasion limit of the frictional material can be detected in such a way that a coloring material 18 exposed when thickness decreases as the frictional material 14 wears to turn a disk surface colored is laid in the frictional material 14. It is characterized in that a housing tube 16 is fixed in a surface of the back plate 12, in that the coloring material 18 is housed in the housing tube 16, and in that the frictional material 14 is attached to the back plate 12 so that it may cover the coloring material 18.
