Title:
BRAKE ROTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH1182571
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a brake rotor which can enhance the cooling performance and can suppress squeaking in brake application.

Between two discs 2 opposing to each other to constitute the sliding surfaces for brake pads, a plurality of fins 3a and 3b stretching in the radial direction of discs are installed uniformly in the circumferential direction X of the discs, and bench holes 4 for ventilation are formed between adjoining fins 3a and 3b. Three such fins 3a and 3b continued in the circumferential direction X of the discs constitute one set, and an even number of sets are provided. The continued two of the three fins among each set should be of short type 3b in which the tip upstream about the ventilating direction R is removed. The remaining one fin should be of long type 3a having a greater length relatively in the radial direction of the discs. The arrangement of the long fin 3a and short fins 3b should be the same to all sets.
