Abstract:
PURPOSE:To detect abrasion limit of brake lining by moving a movable metal piece in accordance to the motion of piston in brake cylinder while to detect abnormal temperature rise of brake liquid by arranging a heat sensitive element in said movable piece. CONSTITUTION:A sensor 11 is arranged in a cylinder 3 to contact with brake liquid 5 and piston 4. The sensor 11 is constructed by arranging a heat sensitive element 18 in a movable metal piece 21. One lead wire of heat sensitive element 18 is soldered to said piece 21 while the other lead wire is soldered through an insulator 19 to a conductor 16. The conductor 16 is electrically connected to an external lead-out terminal 14 through a compression coil spring 15. Furthermore, the movable piece 21 is electrically connected to a metal case 12 through a tensile coil spring 20. Consequently, abnormal temperature rise of brake liquid 5 is detected by means of heat sensitive element 18 while the abrasion limit of brake linings 1, 1a is detected through lowering of movable piece 21 due to motion of piston 4.
