To provide a brake system capable of providing good pedal feeling of a brake pedal and of reducing operation sound by reducing delivery pressure pulsation of a pump transmitted to the side of a master cylinder.
This system is has: the master cylinder 15 for generating brake hydraulic pressure by operation of a brake pedal 11; wheel cylinders 18, 19 for generating braking force by the introduced brake hydraulic pressure; the pump 20 of which the suction side is connected to the master cylinder and of which the delivery side is connected to the wheel cylinders; and a hydraulic pressure control valve 21 formed between the delivery side of the pump and the master cylinder for controlling the difference pressure between the brake hydraulic pressure on the master cylinder side and that on the delivery side of the pump depending on the brake hydraulic pressure on the brake hydraulic pressure on the master cylinder side, and is provided with an orifice 38 between the delivery side of the pump and the master cylinder.
