Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce stress applied on a center band by setting the band ends of side bands to be wide in the axial direction of brake rotation toward a center end and narrow within the range of a side opposite the axial direction so as to increase the area of a band cross-section.
CONSTITUTION: The band ends 11 and 12 of side bands 6 and 7 are widened in the direction of a brake rotation axis 5-5 toward a center band 8. The center band 8 is narrowed with respect to the widened band ends 11 and 12 in the range 36 of a side opposite the axial direction. A connecting region 4 is integrally formed with the side bands 6 and 7 and the center band 8. Thus, the area of a band cross-section is increased to reduce stress applied on the center band.
