Abstract:
To provide a braking device for a cable drum which safely reliably works.
A piston rod 24 is pressed down by depressing a pedal 25 of a hydraulic pump 22. Pressurized oil is supplied to a cylinder 11 to push up a piston rod 12 against the spring elastic force of a return spring. When the piston rod 12 is pushed up, a brake applying body 16 is moved up to put a brake lining 19 mounted on a brake shoe 18 into contact with the outer peripheral surface of the flange 3 of a cable drum 1, thereby applying braking force on the cable drum 1.
