PURPOSE: To enable mounting of a stopper on the right and the left arms in a removable manner and facilitate the restriction of an arm by separately constituting butting members to stop the pivoting stroke of the arm relative to either of a pivoting part of the arm for braking, and connecting them in a removable manner.
CONSTITUTION: A pair of arms 1, 2 of crank shape which are identical in shape and bilaterally symmetrical are pivotably mounted on a frame 9 of a bicycle by means of fixed nuts 5, 6 to fit the respective brake shoes 3,4 and cantilever type center bolts 7, 8. In such a center-pull brake of cantilever type, a stopper 14 is provided so that a collar type fitting member 15 where the butting members 17 are fixed in a removable manner may be tightly fixed by means of a bolt member 16. The fitting member 15 consists of two planar divided pieces 19,20 which are integrated to make a collar. The butting member 17 is arranged at the position where it is butted with the lower and outer edge part of the arm 2 underside of the arm 2, restricting the drive by a spring body 13 of the arm 2.
