PURPOSE: To reduce the cost for production required for the braking device which cooperatively actuates left and right two pieces of driving rear wheels by means of a differential device, by providing the braking device with internal expansion type brake shoes in the state of bringing these shoes into contact with the inside surfaces of the rims of front wheels.
CONSTITUTION: Disk-shaped brake supporting plates 10 are mounted by means of bolts 11 at front wheel mounting forks 9 at the bottom end of a steering wheel of the three-wheeled small-sized motor driven vehicle adequate for an aged person or a person handicapped in walking. A pair of the internal expansion type brake shoes 12 to be brought into contact with the inside surfaces 2a of the rims of the front wheels 2 for steering are freely oscillatably mounted by means of supporting pins 13 to the brake supporting plates 10. Rotary cams 14 for bringing the internal expansion type brake shoes 12 into contact with the inside surfaces 2a of the rims are mounted by revolving shafts 15 to the brake supporting plates 10. The rotary cams 14 are so provided as to be rotated by operation of a grip lever installed to the steering handwheel so as to expand the shoes 12 and to exhibit the brake powder when the oscillating arms 16 are oscillated with release wires.
