Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a locked state to release by a handle lever which is operated by a care given, and improve the usability of a wheelchair.
SOLUTION: A braking piece 14 at the distal end of which, a pressing section 19 is provided, is pivotally supported in a manner to be rotatable. Then, a braking lever 15 is pivotally supported in the vicinity of the braking piece in a manner to be rotatable within a specified range. The vicinity of the pivotally supported section of the braking lever and the vicinity of the pivotally supported section of the braking piece are connected by respectively inserting spindles 25 and 26 in both end sections of a link 16. When the braking lever is rotate-operated, the spindle 24 of the braking lever and the spindles 25 and 26 are arranged on one straight line, and the braking lever is prevented from returning by further exceeding the state being arranged on the straight line. Then, the pressing section is locked under a state wherein the pressing section is pressed to the tire 3 of a wheel 2. At the same time, a spring 17 which urges the braking lever in the returning direction is provided. Thus, the braking piece is towed by a remote control from the handle lever 9, and the pressing section is pressed to the tire. In this case, the braking lever is returned by the elasticity of the spring when the spindle 24, and the spindles 25 and 26 are arranged in one straight line by the control of the handle lever.
