Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve durability by providing a valve unit for defining the maximum pressure enclosed in the wheel cylinder side of a brake holding valve between a master cylinder and a wheel cylinder. CONSTITUTION:When a brake pedal 81 is pedalled in ascending a slope, hydraulic pressure higher than pressure for opening a relief valve 70 is supplied to a wheel cylinder. Then, a clutch pedal is pedalled and the brake pedal 81 is released from a foot. Then, since hydraulic pressure to be held on a valve seat 30 is higher than valve opening pressure in the relief valve 70, a valve body 63 of the relief valve 70 is separated from the valve seat to afford communication between a through hole 66 and the master cylinder 80 side. Thus, until hydraulic pressure in a valve chamber 30 becomes lower than the valve 70 opening pressure, pressurized liquid in the valve chamber 30 is circulated to the master cylinder 80 side.
