Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure braking force while a vehicle is stopped by supplying a negative pressure to a low pressure chamber of a vacuum booster when an engine is in a combustion stopped state.
SOLUTION: This device is provided with a braking force generating means to generate braking force by assist force by the vacuum booster, an engine stop state detecting means, and a pressure lowering means capable of lowering pressure of the low pressure chamber of the vacuum booster at least while combustion of the engine is stopped in the case a combustion stopped state of the engine is detected by the engine stop situation detecting means. In this constitution, as the combustion stopped state of the engine is detected by the engine stop state detecting means, the pressure of the low pressure chamber of the vacuum booster is lowered by the pressure lowering means while engine combustion is stopped. Reduction of the braking force can thus be reduced.
