To improve brake feeling by avoiding a driver from having a sense of stepping on a board-like object when performing a starting auxiliary control.
In a starting auxiliary control processing, the starting conditions for the starting auxiliary control are divided into two classes. When the pressure of the master cylinder is raised by stepping-on the brake pedal BP to a degree more than that for stopping the car, an execution permission of the starting auxiliary control is issued. Afterwards when the brake pedal BP is confirmed to be put back, the starting auxiliary control is started to be performed. Because the starting auxiliary control starts to be performed for the first time only after the brake pedal BP is put back, even though an electro-magnetic open-close valve SMCF and an electro-magnetic open-close valve SREC are made to be in a shut-off state by the execution of the starting auxiliary control, the brake pedal BP may not be stepped on afterwards. Accordingly, the driver is free from feeling such a sense of stepping on a board-like object as performing the starting auxiliary control when the brake pedal BP is stepped on.
