Title:
BRAKING MECHANISM FOR REEL SUPPORTED WITH BEARINGS AT BOTH ENDS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2001017041
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a braking mechanism for a reel supported with bearings at both ends in which effective braking is performed during the high-speed rotation of a spool and a machine configuration is simpler than conventional.

This mechanism is equipped with a spool 1 having a cylindrical peripheral surface and rotatably supported by a shaft, a conductive rotor 8 placed on the side of one end of the spool 1 which advances with centrifugal force due to the rotation of the spool 1, whereas is energized by a spring 9 so as to resist the centrifugal force and magnets (an N pole magnet 10 and an S pole magnet 11) placed in a non-contact state facing to the rotor 8 in a region where the rotor 8 advances and changing magnetic flux with time which passes through the inside of the rotor 8. The rotor 8 is constituted in such a way as to advance in the direction of the centrifugal force due to the rotation of the spool 1.
