Abstract:
To provide a braking mechanism for a vehicle such as a carriage and a wheelchair.
A brake shoe 19 is installed on a brake control rod 15 that is turnable in such a way as to be capable of abutting on a wheel. A right and left control rod 10 and a forward-backward control rod are coupled to each other by a connector by which both the right and left control rod 10 and the forward-backward control rod 30 are turnable as either one of them is turned. As the right and left control rod 10 is rotated, the brake control rod 15 is turned, and the brake shoe is abutted on the wheel to brake it.
