Abstract:
To provide a compact braking system of low manufacturing cost, capable of being used even with a rotating angle of 90° or more.
This braking system is used to brake a first element 2 rotatably mounted on a rotating pin 6 fixed to a fixed second element. This system includes a helical spring 18 having a diameter to be kept into contact with an inner wall 15 of a sleeve 14 fixed to the second element in an assembled state. The helical spring 18 increases the friction between the helical spring 18 and the sleeve 14, when the first element 2 is rotated to apply the brake to the rotation of the first element 2, and its diameter can be increased.
