Abstract:
PURPOSE: To simplify a branching work by enlarging a part of an electromagnetic shield formed by a sheathing of a cable and a drain, removing an insulating coating of an exposed conductor, and connecting a connector with the same, when the branch connector is connected with a shielded multiconductor electric cable. CONSTITUTION: Plural conductors 2 having insulating coatings 3, and a drain conductor 5 along the plural conductors 2, are accomodated inside of a cable, these are surrounded by an electromagnetic shield 4A, a spiral conductive band 4B is wound onto the same, and the whole is surrounded by an insulating coating 6. Then a parallel vertical groove 7 extended in a longitudinal direction, is formed on a surface of the coating 6, the coating 6 is removed by making a cutting jaw of a plier type tool, bite the same, and the exposed band 4B is stripped, for connecting a connector 23A for branch, with the cable 1. Then a point part of the connector 23A for branch, is connected with the exposed conductor 2 after the shield 4A and the coating 3 are removed.
