To reduce the burdens of a central controller by performing branch line advance control without interposing the central controller of a high order.
An automated guided carrier 5 turns a guide line 7a to an ON state (passing request) in the case of not advancing to a branch rail 2b and travels as it is without doing anything (branch advance request) in the case of advancing to the branch rail 2b. A controller 9b does nothing when the guide line 7a is in the on state and turns the guide line 7b to an off state (stop instruction) when an advance branch line to the branch rail 2b is impossible even when it is the off state. When the guide line 7b is turned to the off state, the automated guided carrier 5 stops before reaching onto a shifter 6b and stands by until the guide line 7b is turned to the on state.
