To provide a novel hydrophilic silicone compound which is low irritating and low yellowing, exhibits excellent wetting properties and adsorbing properties to various substrates while satisfying both advantages inherent in silicones and high hydrophilicity, and has a very wide range of applications, and its manufacturing method.
The branched polyglycerol-modified silicone comprises, bonded to a silicon atom thereof via a linking group, at least one branched polyglycerol chain bearing at least one branched glycerol group represented by structural formula (1) [wherein a glycerol group or a glycidol group represented by a structural formula (1), (2), (3) or (4), the same or different, is bonded to two oxygen atoms]. The manufacturing method thereof and a cosmetic containing the branched polyglycerol-modified silicone are also provided.
