PURPOSE: To realize the excellent brazing of the platinum alloy, in particular, the so-called hardened platinum by constituting the alloy of antimony of a specific weight ratio and the balance platinum.

CONSTITUTION: The brazing filler alloy for the platinum decoration has the composition consisting of 22-26wt.% antimony and the balance platinum. The melting point of this brazing filler alloy for the platinum decoration is approximately ≤700°C, and in particular, the melting point of the brazing filler alloy with the antimony of 24wt.% is 630°C, and the platinum alloy as well as the hardened platinum can be brazed without being softened. Because the brazing filler alloy contains ≥70wt.% platinum, the quality of the platinum alloy and the hardened alloy is hardly deteriorated. In addition, the brazing filler alloy demonstrates the similar color tone to that of the platinum alloy and hardened alloy, sense of incompatibility is not caused at the joined part. If the brazing filler alloy is powder, it can be used as the preplaced brazing filler metal or the paste brazing filler metal, and the brazing can be easily and surely achieved.
