Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a brazing filler metal which is inexpensive, is resistant to corrosion and has other well balanced characteristics by composing the brazing filler metal of a specific ratio of titanium and the balance aluminum.
CONSTITUTION: This brazing filler metal is composed of ≤50% titanium and the balance aluminum. The titanium is supplied as a hydrogen compd. powder and the aluminum as metal powder. The brazing filler metal which has good corrosion resistance and low joining temp. in joining of ceramics using active metals, is not used noble metals such as gold and silver and is inexpensive is thus obtd.
