To provide a breakage-proof structure of a card type electronic key capable of preventing a key body from being excessively bent in the direction of torsion while ensuring sufficient breakage resistance by making it bendable.
This card type electronic key can verify the key against a communication object through radio communication, includes a connection part for connecting an electronic part unit 14 with a battery key part unit 16 while allowing the key body to bend, and has a plate-like outer shape. This electronic key also includes hinge springs 51, 52 generating restoring force for its own bending in the connection part and a pair of pins 53, 54 extended along an axis when two of the electronic part unit 14 and the battery key part unit 16 are bent by using the connection part as a boundary and functioning as bendable shafts when it is bent.
